Defender Chris Hussey has joined Bury on loan until the end of the season from Burton Albion.

The 25 year old has plenty of experience at League Two level from his time with both Wimbledon and Coventry City, and since joining Burton in the summer he has gone on to make over 20 appearances for the Pirelli Stadium side, including both games against Bury this campaign so far.

He has joined us in time to be in contention of his club debut in the game this weekend against Southend United and has been handed the No 11 shirt for his time with us.

In his career so far he has made more than 100 starting appearances, playing in 131 games all in across all competitions.

With manager David Flitcroft looking to the loan market again, he has however said that he won’t be adding any further additions to our somewhat stuttering frontline, calling on the players to really dig in and show their mettle and talent in front of goal between now and the end of the season.

The gaffer said it’s not because he wouldn’t like to in order to help people out, especially with the possible injuries we have in the striking department now, but simply put anybody in form and with an eye for a goal isn’t going to be allowed out by their clubs now so it would be a waste of time asking really.
