Well that was a bit quick, having only joined us on loan last Friday, striker Danny Rose has now penned a three year deal at Bury.

Having made his second debut for the club in our game against Hartlepool, the young striker scored six minutes after entering the field of play getting us our second goal of the day and helping us to our first three points of the campaign.

Having come through Barnsley’s youth system, his first spell with us was last season, joining in March until the end of the campaign but he was recalled early.

He made six appearances from the bench, scoring three times, and clearly he hasn’t lost that knack.

Speaking to the Official Site manager David Flitcroft admitted that he had been one of our main targets this summer so he was delighted to finally get him.

‘Hard work pays off – this has been a big chase for us and we are obviously delighted to finally get the deal done. The fans love him, the players love him and we have really worked hard on this one, especially the chairman.’
