Striker Danny Nardiello has now signed a new deal at Bury.

The 32 year old joined the club back in November 2013, initially on loan for his second spell at Gigg Lane and agreement was struck with Rotherham for him to join us permanently in January of that season.

Having topped our scoring charts for the last two seasons since his second coming, he has now made a total of 71 appearances with a return of 29 goals.

The deal he’s now signed he was offered at the end of last year and manager David Flitcroft told the Official Site that he as delighted he had now penned it as obviously he had options given his quality in front of the net.

‘I`m delighted to have captured his services. The deal was offered to him at the end of last season but he did have quite a few good options, as you would expect being the striker he is and with the goals he has scored.’

Flicker went on to say that whilst the deal was stalled the club obviously went out and picked up two more ‘really good top line strikers’ to add to our options for League One this coming year, and with six strikers at the club he’s confident we do have options and obviously Nards adds to that and the competition.

‘He is part of the squad and he knows that. Unfortunately for him he has tweaked an old back injury in training, he`s had a scan on the injury and will be getting an injection later in the week that will hopefully rectify the problem.’

Fingers crossed it won’t be anything too long term for him, but he has missed the two main pre season games so far, so we’ll have to see if he appears from the bench against Blackburn Rovers.
