Bury 0-2 Coventry

Gigg Lane

As so often happens a club that has lost, or sacked, their manager then go onto win their next under a new or caretaker manager. This is what Coventry did as they won at Gigg Lane on Saturday.

Coventry were off to a flyer with Leon Clarke (3) keeping up his good goalscoring form this season with an early goal.

More goals would have come for the visitors but for a post and a goal line clearance, with Bury’s chances limited, especially in the first half.

One gilt-edged chance of an equaliser passed The Shakers by, however Trevor Carson had to be at his best a couple of times to keep out the visitors before the decisive second goal did come late on. Carl Baker (73) scoring this.

A goal line clearance denied Bury a consolation late on, that is all it would’ve been though with them losing 2-0.
