Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Bye

Bury were given a bye in the first round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy yesterday, before the draw live on Soccer AM.

Other teams in the northern section given bye’s were:

Bradford City, Burton Albion, Crewe, Carlisle, Huddersfield, Peterbrough and Stockport County.

All first round ties will be played on the week commencing 30th August 2010.

This can only be good for the team, not wanting to pick up any injuries to key players during cup matches.
