Manager David Flitcroft couldn’t have more praise for Everton youngster Hallam Hope as he began his mini Bury career by netting in both games he’s played so far since joining us back on the loan deadline day.

The 20 year old made his debut for us in the three nil victory over Northampton Town, and also grabbed himself a debut goal, and backed that up by scoring our opener in the two one victory over Bristol Rovers last night.

Speaking to the BBC following that game, Flitcroft couldn’t have been more pleased with the youngsters attitude and the impact he’s had in such a short space of time.

‘Everton want to develop players in their system. We were lucky that Roberto Martinez trusted us with one of his players. The way Hope took his goal was outstanding.’

Hopefully they’ll be plenty more to come from the youngster as well during his remaining time with us, and whilst few expect him to continue this particular run, you certainly would bank on it not being his last goal for us until he returns to his parent club.
