Bury are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bury in the two one victory over Chesterfield at the weekend at the Proact Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side as manager of the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Clark was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Clark’s first task as new Bury boss was to take his struggling side to Chesterfield, another team involved in the survival scrap at the bottom end of Sky Bet League One. And it was job done as the Shakers earned a late comeback victory, with substitute George Miller netting the all-important goal, which took the club out of the bottom four.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Clark for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.

Full Team:

Matt Gilks (Wigan Athletic), Cian Bolger (Fleetwood Town), Tin Plavotic (Cheltenham Town), Jorge Teixeira (Charlton Athletic), Kadeem Harris (Cardiff City), Piero Mingoia (Cambridge United), Chris Clements (Grimsby Town), Reggie Lambe (Carlisle United), Sam Baldock (Brighton), Jon Stead (Notts County), Paul Mullin (Morecambe).

Manager – Lee Clark (Bury).
