From Vital Shrewsbury:

Salop fans would have made the late trip back home from Greater Manchester disappointed that another door to Wembley had been slammed shut by the dreaded penalty shoot out.

Bury beat Town 6-5 via the penalty spot after a dire goalless draw at Gigg Lane.

Town only mustered up two attempts on target throughout the match and can not really complain about being knocked out by Alan Knill’s side.

Centre-back Daniel O’Donnell was the unlucky player to see his shot saved by Shakers goalkeeper Cameron Belford.
