Bury have today captured the signing of former winger Nicky Adams for an undisclosed fee from Rotherham United.

The 27 year old started his career at Bury, making 94 appearances for us across all competitions, scoring 15 times.

Since leaving us he’s gone on to play a part in promotion from League One with Leicester, Rochdale, Leyton Orient, Brentford, Crawley and Rotherham and he comes back to us having made 337 career appearances now, scoring 37 times.

A statement on Rotherham’s site reads.

‘Once it became clear that Nicky’s current injury would keep him out for the rest of our season, the club decided to accept a bid from Bury which gives us a substantial profit on our outlay for Nicky when we signed him in January.’

The statement goes onto thank the players for his efforts and contribution during his time at the club and they wish him well for the future.

He has apparently signed a three year deal with us, but as of yet I can see no official confirmation from Bury themselves.
